Rules and Code of Conduct
Please read and follow each rule carefully.
Destiny 2 Glam is the place for players to share their glamour creations, their passion and their vision, whether they are looking for a new outfit, for inspiration, or keeping a personal journal of their looks.
To suit as many play styles and uses as possible, we strive to keep a clean catalogue of in-game creations that anyone can browse. For that reason, there are a few rules and guidelines to keep in mind when submitting your creations.
Rules for screenshots
Minimum requirements for a glamour
We love seeing players show their creativity through their glamour screenshots. It is important that there is at least one screenshot with a clear view of the glamour itself. Your submission must meet the following requirements:
Requirements
- ⚠At least one shot of the full glamour, showing all required pieces
- - The shot must be well lit
- - The shot must closely resemble the in-game experience in terms of colors
- - The shot must be taken in an appropriate in-game zone, since some areas drastically change the colors and appearance of gear
- ⚠Taken in-game without an external camera
- ⚠Not obstructed by, nor including, in-game elements such as your HUD or character name
About modded content
Destiny 2 Glam is a catalogue dedicated to in-game creations. While we admire what the modding community creates, we cannot display those works here. We want to avoid the disappointment of someone being unable to replicate a look shown on the site.
Allowed
- ✔Custom poses
- - They should be appropriate
- - They should not deform the body
- - They should not alter the appearance of gear or your character
- - They should not alter the shape or length of hairstyles
- - They should not alter the shape or drastically alter the physics of gear
- ✔HQ texture upscales
- - Excluding any texture that affects gear
- - Excluding textures that alter your character's appearance beyond upscaling
- ✔Shaders or filters (such as ReShade), as long as at least one screenshot uses a neutral, natural-looking preset
Not allowed
- ✖Custom poses
- - That are inappropriate
- - That deform the body
- - That alter the appearance of gear or your character
- - That alter the shape or length of hairstyles
- - That alter the shape or drastically alter the physics of gear
- ✖Custom gear mods of any kind
- ✖Mods that change the appearance of in-game gear
- - Including model and texture changes to the gear
- ✖Any mod that changes your character's appearance
- - Including hair, body, face, make-up and texture mods that visibly alter your character
- ✖Combinations of items that cannot normally happen in the game, due to class or faction restrictions, without third-party tools
- ✖Items not yet released in the live version of the game
Requirements
- ⚠If your pose (custom or not) adds volume to the equipment, submit at least one natural shot of the gear.
About weapon and gear manipulation
Changing how a weapon appears in a screenshot can help show the item or fit our image size limits. However, this kind of manipulation can quickly get out of hand and confuse users about the class or weapon in question. Please keep the following in mind:
Requirements
- ⚠At least one shot of the glamour without any item manipulation
Allowed
- ✔Changing the position or rotation of a weapon while it is held by the character (unsheathed)
Not allowed
- ✖Manipulating a weapon while it is attached to the character (sheathed)
- ✖Changing the scale of a weapon
- ✖Hiding parts of a weapon
- - Including holding a single weapon on classes that wield two, such as a single dagger on an Assassin
- - Including hiding the off-hand Guarder
- ✖Manipulating pieces of gear, including fashion items, that are not weapons
- ✖Manipulating weapons in a misleading way that could be mistaken for pieces of gear
- - Including positioning weapons as wings
- ✖Manipulating the way a weapon is held to look like it belongs to a different class
- - Including a Ranger holding a dagger like an Assassin
- ✖Using unobtainable items as weapons
- - Including event-only, test or removed items
About size manipulation
Changing the size of a model to make it look bigger or smaller than it really is can help build a concept. However, it confuses other users, drastically changes how scale is perceived and can hurt the visibility of a glamour. Please keep the following in mind:
Not allowed
- ✖Changing the scale of characters (including NPCs)
- ✖Changing the scale of pets and mounts
- ✖Changing the scale of weapons or fashion accessories
About the use of props
Using props as part of your glamour, to define a concept or allude to an idea, is an exciting way for many creators to show their creativity.
A prop is an item or piece of gear that is held by, or connected to, a character. Items that are not connected or equipped to a character, such as weapons or fashion items lying on the floor, are not props and are not subject to these rules.
To avoid frustration and confusion, we have set a few rules for glamours that use props.
Requirements
- ⚠At least one shot of the glamour without the prop
Allowed
- ✔Pets and mounts
- ✔Items obtained through emotes or actions
- ✔Items used by NPCs
- - State in the description that you are using an item that players cannot use as a prop
- ✔Decorative objects from the game world
- - State in the description that you are using a decorative object as a prop
- ✔Weapons*
- - Check the weapon and gear manipulation section for the specific rules
Not allowed
- ✖Changing the scale of pets and mounts
- ✖Any prop that is not from Destiny 2
- ✖Any prop that could be confused with, or is worn like, a piece of gear
- - Including placing props in or behind the character's head
- ✖Any piece of gear or fashion item, excluding weapons
- - A piece of gear or fashion item counts as a prop if it is not worn as intended
- ✖Using unobtainable items as weapons
About NPCs
You may want to use non-player characters (NPCs) to show how your glamour looks on other factions or on your favorite companions. Your submission may include one or more NPCs, as long as every other rule on this page also applies to them.
However, each player has their own relationship with each NPC, so please be respectful of that NPC and of other players. To protect everyone's experience, we may ask you to remove images that go against the nature of the NPC, in clothing or in pose. We also ask that no NPC appears in the cover image of your glamour, to keep browsing pleasant.
Requirements
- ⚠At least one shot of the glamour without the NPC
Allowed
- ✔NPCs wearing your glamour, as long as it is not the cover image
- ✔NPCs wearing other glamours in the background
- ✔NPCs with edited poses in the background
Not allowed
- ✖NPCs wearing your glamour on the cover image of the glamour
- ✖Poses or glamours on NPCs that break any of these rules
- ✖Poses or glamours on NPCs that compromise the integrity of the NPC
- ✖Poses or glamours on NPCs that compromise other players' image of the NPC
- ✖Potential spoiler NPCs until two weeks have passed since they were introduced
About custom backgrounds
To create the right setting for your look, you may edit and submit custom backgrounds. They should not confuse users; they should improve visibility and express the concept of your glamour.
Requirements
- ⚠At least one in-game shot of the glamour without a custom background
Not allowed
- ✖Backgrounds that feature, or could be confused with, gear
- ✖Backgrounds that could be confused with an in-game location
- ✖Backgrounds from any other game
Guidelines for submitting a glamour
About submitting your glamour
When submitting to Destiny 2 Glam, please only upload your own content. Do not take screenshots of random stylish strangers you find in the game.
Please also fill in the submission form correctly. To keep searches on the site clean and precise, make sure to:
Requirements
- ⚠Enter the correct level needed to wear your glamour
- ⚠Select the correct class the glamour is intended for
- ⚠Select the correct faction and gender of the character in the screenshot
- ⚠Include all gear pieces shown in the screenshot and needed to replicate your glamour
- ⚠If you were inspired by another creator, credit them in the description
About optional and alternative items
When choosing the requirements for your submission, some items may affect them in a way you do not fully agree with. For example, your glamour might work at level 1 except for a level 50 accessory. Ask yourself whether the item is vital to the glamour or optional, and set the level and class of your submission accordingly.
If you want to offer an alternative item, mention it in the glamour description. This gives people options when the original items would make it impossible for them to use your glamour.
When listing alternative items, include a screenshot of the glamour with that item if:
- •The item looks drastically different from the one it replaces
- •The item is an entirely different colour
- •The item is a weapon option
Duplicate content
To keep the catalogue of looks clean, please do not submit duplicate entries or full sets of gear. Copies of the same glamour from the same creator, even with different screenshots, are flagged as duplicate content. Glamours of full gear sets with a different weapon or hidden pieces are also considered a full set and flagged as duplicates.
Appropriate content
We want to keep the content suitable for all kinds of viewers. No sexual, offensive or otherwise harmful content of any kind is allowed.
Negative content
Destiny 2 Glam is home to many creative people from different backgrounds and places in the world. We ask you to respect people's creations and to be considerate toward other users and the moderation team. Please avoid negative, vengeful or disrespectful comments in the title, description or any other text of a glamour.
Editing glamours
To keep the community fair and the catalogue concise, certain restrictions apply when editing glamours.
Restrictions
- ✖Glamours should not be updated with gear released after the original submission. Create a new glamour and mention in its description that it is an updated version of the original.
Code of conduct
Giving credit and drawing inspiration
When dealing with other people's creations, please be respectful. If you were inspired by another creator, state it in your glamour description and mention the original glamour.
If you find that a glamour similar to yours has already been posted, you should still submit yours, because your creative vision is still unique. Different places, poses, lighting, genders, factions and gear pieces can inspire others and offer a better look to some.
If you feel one of your glamours has been replicated by another user, please contact our staff at richard@mmoglamour.com instead of expecting an automatic duplicate flag. A glamour is a finite collection of items and colours, and the same gear can inspire the same feeling or theme in different people. We expect users to act in good faith and credit their inspirations, but we will act if we find evidence of malicious behaviour.
Reporting content
Our collection is watched by our moderation team. To report content, use the Report option on the glamour page, or write to richard@mmoglamour.com with the link and the reason. When reporting, please consider the following:
Do
- ✔Make sure you are reporting for the right reason
- ✔Instead of reporting most of the same user's submissions, consider contacting the staff directly
- - This makes it easier for you and for the moderators
- ✔Explain why you are reporting something
- - Without a clear reason, moderators have to dismiss reports on submissions that may really have a problem
Don't
- ✖Did someone copy your glamour?
- - Contact us directly instead of reporting it as a duplicate, and read the section on giving credit and drawing inspiration
- ✖Avoid publicly posting about reportable submissions
- - If you have questions or issues, write to our moderators directly
- ✖Do not report people maliciously or falsely
- - Mistaken reports happen, but please do not make them on purpose; we may act against repeated malicious reports
- - Do not mass-report other users because you were reported; this is considered malicious and may lead to a ban
When a submission is flagged, moderators can hide it from view. This is usually done with content that is heavily modded, inappropriate or simply incomplete. We may delete content that is spam or breaks the law.
Our staff can be contacted at richard@mmoglamour.com.
Inflating likes and multiple accounts
The like system exists only to give feedback to the glamour creator. We understand some users may see it as a ranking, but we ask that you do not create multiple accounts for the sole purpose of inflating your own like count.
Accounts found to be used this way will be banned and their likes revoked. Users who use multiple accounts to inflate their likes repeatedly and abusively may also be banned. If you suspect a user of inflating likes, tell us at richard@mmoglamour.com.
